Mesa Property Management dedicates its work towards providing all the services that individual investors need to purchase, rehabilitate and manage investment property. Before MPM was a property management company it had begun real estate business in 2009, purchasing foreclosed properties and selling or renting them out. When they failed to find a good property management company to assist in their business the founder, Steve Shwetz, decided to use his experience as a 10 year owner of an international service franchise and start his own property management company. Shwetz and his team of licensed real estate agents work to provide respectable and responsive service.

The History of Claremont

Claremont is located in the eastern San Gabriel Valley in Los Angeles County. According to the City of Claremont, California website, the Serrano Native Americans were the first known inhabitants of the Claremont area. In 1771, Mission San Gabriel Arcángel was founded during the beginning of the California’s Spanish period. Claremont was incorporated into Los Angeles County in 1907. Until World War II, citrus was the main produce of this area. After World War II, many citrus growers sold their land to housing developers. Remnants of early Spanish architecture and rich citrus groves still thrive in this college town today. Presently, Claremont is best known as the home of the Claremont Colleges. For the last 22 years, Claremont has won the National Arbor Day Association’s Tree City USA award.

Claremont’s Famous Landmarks

  • The City of Claremont is perhaps best known as the home of The Claremont Colleges. The undergraduate colleges include Pomona College, Scripps College, Claremont McKenna College, Harvey Mudd College, and Pitzer College. The Claremont Colleges also have two graduate institutions—Claremont Graduate University and Keck Graduate Institute. These highly selective colleges tend to have small class sizes with only about 7,700 total students among all the Claremont Colleges.
  • John R. Rodman Arboretum was created in 1984 to save indigenous vegetation from land development. Presently, the ten-acre arboretum holds sixteen gardens. While this garden is located on the Pitzer College Campus, it is also open to the public.
  • Opened in 1931, Padua Hills Theatre was originally a theater that featured Mexican-theme musicals. Although the theater closed in 1974, the main dining room and grounds have been renovated and are currently an event venue.
  • The Folk Music Center Museum has a large assortment of rare and antique musical instruments from cultures around the world. The museum also offers music lessons to students of all ages and experience levels.
