We provide our clients in Alta Loma with all the services investors need to purchase, repair, and manage investment properties.
The History of Alta Loma
In 1977, Alta Loma was incorporated into the city of Rancho Cucamonga. The community is located in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, near Mountain San Antonio and Cucamonga Peak. Alta Loma an almost completely residential neighborhood. The area of Alta Loma was originally settled by Kukamongan Native Americans. In the 18th Century, the land became part of the California Mission System. After Mexico gained independence from Spain, Tubercio Tapia a soldier, smuggler, and politician was given the land of Cucamonga by Governor Juan Bautista Alvarado. Tapia used indigenous labor to construct an adobe home and raised cattle. Over time, a small agricultural town grew. During the 1970s, Alta Loma experienced a large growth in population due to families from Los Angeles and Orange seeking affordable housing.
Mesa Property Management was started to fill a need for ethical property management services.
Alta Loma’s Landmarks
Although Alta Loma is a small neighborhood, it contains interesting landmarks.
Originally the home of the famous furniture designer and woodworker Sam Malouf, his former residence is now a museum that displays his work. Tours are available to the public on Thursdays and Saturdays.
Originally a 300-acre ranch in the Alta Loma region, the Demens-Tolstoy Estate belonged to Peter Demens, a former Russian aristocrat and United States railway owner.
If you enjoy scenic hikes, walk the 3.4-mile trail to Etiwanda Falls. This trail is open year-round and is an enjoyable hike for all skill levels. If you go in winter or fall during a year of adequate rain, you will see a roaring waterfall. If you plan on going on a weekend, go early since this popular trail becomes crowded later in the day.
